1. Why did you found your startup, which problem do you address and how do
you solve it?
We wondered why the transportation industry can not do what airlines, hotels or car rental
companies have been able to do for a long time: with dynamic prices and autonomous capacity
control for maximum capacity utilization and the highest possible return.
Carrypicker makes transportation easier and more economical, always finding the best carrier
and the smartest way to our customers.
2. What is special about your business-model, what are you doing differently?
Currently, the market has many players targeting the logistics market broadly but we are the
only startup that can handle the less-than-truckload (LTL) market.
3. What was your greatest success so far?
With our idea and vision, we were able to convince private investors and also our first pilot
customers with whom we test the technology. Additionally we are supported by the BMVI
with our research project (text only in German).
4. What are your milestones?
Building a customer friendly product, received recognition in Germany, the Netherlands and all
over Europe. Six-digit number of registered carriers. And for sure, we are very pleased to
achieved this title as „Startup of the month“ ;)
5. What is your biggest need/your next challenge?
For next year, we wish to keep high rate of growth that we have witnessed in last first year.
6. Why are you on VentureZphere?
We are an ambitious startup with a goal to transform the logistics market. To continue our
tremendous growth, we need to maintain our right momentum. We see Starbase as a
platform for us to attract strategic investors and future team members. Also, a strong market
presence makes us attractive for more carriers.
7. What would you recommend other founders?
We would recommend founders to focus on finding right investor/ partner and right team
members. Find and build a team that believes in the company mission.
8. Where did you meet each other?
We met over the years in different industry events and build up a common vision.
9. Where do you see your startup in 3 years?
In next 3 years, we want to be a system that benefits the client, carrier and the environment.
Carrypicker will make one of Germany's most important economic sectors fit for the future.
10. Who is the superbrain in your team and what is his/her superpower?
The whole team is the superbrain in our startup. We are enthusiasts who want to make a
difference. Not only on the road, but also in the work processes of all involved.
