The survey for the 7th German Startup Monitor (DSM) will take place this year between the 13th of May and 23rd of June. All founders and members of the management teams of startups in Germany are invited to take part in the survey in order to present the German startup ecosystem in all its diversity with the DSM again this year.
With more than 1,500 high-quality datasets last year, the DSM is “the most important study on young companies in Germany” (DIE ZEIT) and the largest comprehensive study that provides exciting insights on the situation and developments of the German startup ecosystem annually. It is co-initiated by the German Startups Association and carried out in cooperation with many ecosystem actors. The goal of the DSM is to promote national startup research, to provide relevant actors as well as political decision makers with in-depth information and thus ensuring improvements in the German startup ecosystem.
Take a few minutes and complete the survey! Make your contribution that the quality and validity of the report is again at least as high as the last few years in order to achieve its goals. Make sure that you, your startup, and your region are visible in our study.

As a thank you for your commitment, you can win various prizes, e.g. a wildcard for the German Valley Week – a delegation trip of the Startups Association to the Silicon Valley – as well as a total of ten tickets to football matches of the German national team.
By the way: We are gradually adapting our platform to the standard of DSM. It's already been a while since we have updated profile views, data fields and field definitions and aligned them with the DSM. Industry names, business models, customer focus, etc. have been adjusted and supplemented accordingly. Our goal is to link VentureZphere / Startbase with the DSM in order to gain an up-to-date transparent data base from which important fields of action can be derived with regard to the improvement of the startup environment in Germany.
